In this video, I review the Godox VL150, which may be the best budget LED video light available, and performs similarly to its more expensive "professional-grade" counterparts. I also compare the Godox VL150 to the bigger and brighter Godox VL200 and VL300.
The Godox VL150 is arguably the best alternative to the Aputure 120D II and Aputure 300D II, especially if budget is a deciding factor.
The build quality, brightness, color accuracy, and features of the Godox VL150 make it one of the best value lights you can buy, and a choice you won't regret for filmmaking, interviews, and YouTube.
There are some very minor downsides compared to some other lights, including a lack of built in special effects, but the cost savings are well worth it (in my opinion).
I think the biggest consideration when comparing the VL150 to other continuous lights is whether a different series of Godox lights (SL, SL II, FV, UL) might be a better fit for your specific workflow.
